Work Package 3

Educating a new generation of polar researchers and professionals

Objectives:

The objective of Work Package 3 is to create educational material and perform training activities for European early career polar scientists and professionals. Target groups will be PhD students, postdoctoral researchers but also early career technicians and engineers (from research institutes and private sector). They will be trained on the use and deployment of devices used in ice-covered waters.

Planned training activities will range from online training (webinars) to on-site and training courses (summer schools).

Work Package 3 will foster the interaction with industry. to understand career opportunities for early career scientists in the maritime and Arctic industries as part of Blue Growth.

Work Package 3 is led by the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS).
